Birth control pill as a cure for acne has been gaining popularity. But what most women, who have been subjected to such treatment, will also attest how birth control pills can affect one's body in gaining weight.
Side Effect
This is only one of the many known side effects of using oral contraceptives. Although most women would not like the idea of adding up on their pounds, they cannot help it. That is understandable because they take the meds to avoid getting pregnant.
For the latter, there are still many options a woman and her partner can take to achieve such. But taking the pills is one of the most effective. One must learn to do something to limit the weight that they can gain.
When on pills, you can take note of your exercise and eating habits. This will be good for your overall health. This will also help you ease the burden of putting on added weight.
Acne Remedy
Ask your doctors about this. Although this will not be effective for all women, most of them will benefit from such. Most medical practitioners suggest three brands for this purpose. They are Estrostep, Ortho Tri-Cyclen and YAZ.
Doctors will only prescribe birth control pills to act as a treatment for acne when the rest of the previous meds have failed their purpose. This is actually the last resort. And doctors recommend this to women who would be taking oral contraceptives anyway for the obvious purpose of not being able to conceive.
With such effectiveness, the FDA has approved a list of birth control pills to act as treatment to acne. It is also recommended that to achieve greater results, the pill must be used in combination with other real meds intended solely for acne. This includes benzoyl peroxide. You can also use topical retinoids for this need.
Because estrogen and progestin make up the pills used for birth control, this medicine will change the common reproductive cycle and patterns of hormones of a female. This suppresses testosterone release within a woman's body. And as an effect, it reduces the oil being produced by the glands called the sebaceous. As a result, acne comes out minimal. And it also lessens the pore blockage.
But, do not use oral contraceptives to cure acne if you haven't told your doctors about it. They must test you first for possible side effects. The pill must match your body type. And also, other factors must be taken into account.
If proper check-up will be bypassed, the result can be grave. Other oral contraceptives can worsen your acne problems, especially if it doesn't suit some of your characteristics. So, be careful and vigilant. It is your body, so it is your responsibility to care for it.
While sometimes, the recommended pill will worsen the acne breakout at first. This is a common happening. Acne is known to accumulate before dwindling down. So it really helps to have a doctor by your side to explain such factors.
You will be hearing a lot about birth control as a cure for acne as years go by. This is part of the boom in the medical field that is being developed through time. But before plunging in and using the pill, consider the effect that it has on one's body. If you are sure that you are ready for some added pounds, then you are also ready to take it.

Best Acne Treatment
When we first set foot in this world, our problems seem fairly simple. We're not able to walk yet, feed ourselves or use the bathroom on our own. However, our parents take care of these things for us and always get stuck cleaning up our messes. It's a pretty sweet deal. We eat, play and sleep whenever we want. I have to say it's a lifestyle many would prefer to keep forever.
Nevertheless, we grow and things change. Those problems we once knew are now a thing of the past, and new problems have developed. One of the major ones being acne. This skin affliction hits most of us at the start of puberty. We often dread the sight of that first zit. Suddenly we're interested in the best treatment for acne. Of course finding it is a whole other challenge.
Trial and error.
This is the common method most of us use when searching for the best treatment for acne. The funny part is that it's not as simple as asking your parent or best friend which product works best. Whether or not something works for them is not always relevant. There are several different skin types, and each of them call for different treatments. Find out what your specific skin type is. You'll want to know this when searching for the best treatment for acne available. It will narrow your search quite a bit. So many people rave and jump up and down over the contemporary acne medication known as Proactive Solution. They claim it works miracles and that their skin is finally clear for the first time in years. Now, that's all fine and good. I'm not saying it doesn't work for them. But again, just because it works for them, doesn't mean it's going to work for you. I have a good friend, who tried this particular acne remedy, and it didn't clear his skin at all. His acne actually seemed to worsen over the next six months. That would certainly make me search for a new product. Proactive Solution is not the best treatment for acne after all. Not for everyone.
Consult a professional. This can be your family physician, or maybe you want to get the best advice possible from reputable dermatologist. He/she can prescribe a medication to treat your specific skin condition. This may be the best treatment for acne available to you. There are also oral medications that only a professional can prescribe.

Be Patient With Your Natural Acne Treatment
We live in a world that tends to condition us to expect immediate results. A lot of the fault for this lies in the advertisers who tell us that we are going to get everything we need and get it immediately if we only buy their product. Of course, many of us know that this is not always the case and it is rare that something is going to give us immediate results. Unfortunately, it has led to a lot of different problems with our society, particularly when we want to change the way that we look.
Getting rid of acne is one of those things where we would like to see immediate results but there is nothing out there which will give those results to us. Yes, some of them will help to keep the acne under control to a certain extent but as far as curing it completely, there is nothing out there which will do that immediately. The reason why this is the case is because the underlying reasons for why we have acne in the first place has a lot to do with the toxins and chemicals that we put into our body in the things that we eat and drink. This toxic buildup did not happen overnight and we cannot expect to get rid of it overnight. Does that mean that there's no hope to get rid of your acne?
As a matter of fact, getting rid of your acne is not only possible but there are a lot of people who are able to do so successfully. They don't do this because there is something special about them but it is because they are persistent with their efforts and they realize that it is a long-term project and not something that will happen immediately. Natural cures do work quite well and many people have experienced relief from their acne problems as a result of them. You're going to have to be patient, however, in order for these cures to really take root and to change your skin from the inside out.
That is why it is important for you to choose something that is actually going to work for you and not to try a fly-by-night product which will give you no results at all. Choose what you're going to do and then stick with it for the long term. That is really the only way that you're going to see results that will last for the rest of your life.

Aromatherapy For Acne Relief
Acne is certainly a problem that many of us have to deal with but unfortunately, it can be quite difficult to get rid of entirely. It is always important for us to make sure that we are eating properly and drinking plenty of water as these things will go a long way in helping us to treat our acne from the inside out. Sometimes, however, it is necessary for us to seek other natural means in order to really clear up our problem skin. Believe it or not, one of the best things that you can do for yourself comes in the form of aromatherapy.
Whenever most of us think about aromatherapy, we consider the treatment that is either commonly given at home or in a therapeutic environment. It is said to help us relax and release toxins to a certain extent. This can certainly go a long way in helping us to get rid of our problem skin, particularly because stress and toxins play a large role in the acne that we have. If we are able to get our stress under control, we will be able to get our skin under control to a certain extent. Detoxing our body is also an excellent way to clear up our skin. There are other ways, however, that aromatherapy may help your problem skin that might surprise you.
Many of the oils that are used in aromatherapy can also be applied directly to the skin in order to help clear it. A good example of this is lavender, one of the most common aromatherapy oils that is used. Even though it is renowned for its wonderful smell, it also has some antiseptic properties that are excellent for use on problem skin. Many people add a little bit of lavender into their daily skin cleaning regimen in order to help clear the problem.
Several other aromatherapy oils can also be used on the skin but you need to use a little bit of caution that you are not overdoing it. Oils such as Jasmine, myrrh and sandalwood are excellent for our skin problems and they have antibacterial or antiseptic properties that can go a long way in helping you to clear up your acne, once and for all. Just make sure that you are diluting the stronger oils so that they don't dry your skin out too much.

Are You Making Your Acne Worse?
There are a lot of us that have to deal with problem skin, both in our teenage years and at times throughout our life. Acne tends to show up on our face but it may also show up on any part of our body, such as our arms, back or chest. Unfortunately, dealing with this acne is an ongoing battle for many of us and we may try many natural cures before we find one that works for our particular situation. While you're looking for this cure, make sure that you take care not to make your acne worse. Here are several different things that people do on a regular basis with their acne that may actually make it more difficult to treat.
First of all, you need to leave your acne alone. Yes, it is necessary to clean it on a regular basis but you should not be touching the area that is broken out or else you run the risk of spreading it further. There is a lot of thought that acne has a lot to do with bacteria and if you are touching that area, you run the risk of spreading the bacteria further. Teach yourself how to leave the area alone and you will suffer far fewer breakouts as a result.
Whenever our acne comes to a head, many of us get rid of that head by popping it, for lack of a better word. If you are going to squeeze your acne, there is no doubt that you are going to push some things to the surface and beyond. Unfortunately, you may also be pushing some of it below the surface and further down into your body. This can cause the acne to spread and if you have a particularly bad case, it may also cause permanent scarring. The last thing that you want is a lifelong reminder of the fact that you couldn't leave your acne alone.
You should also make sure that you are washing your hair before you go to sleep. Even if you keep your hair tied back to keep it off of your face or if you have short hair, the oil from it will transfer to your pillow and then onto your face as you roll around during the night. Make cleaning your hair a part of your nightly regiment and you will enjoy clearer skin from the effort.

Acne Medications
Acne, one of the most common skin problem that ails us, irrespective of age, color or gender. Acne is a tremendously embarrassing and burdensome problem. Acne can be defined, as red eruptions on the skin, sometimes filled with a white substance, is itchy and also painful. There are different ways to treat acne. You could get medication from a skin specialist or you could also try home or natural remedies. Natural remedies are less time consuming, less costly, and have no side effects. It only requires a little more patience because the routine has to be followed diligently, in order to get rid of the problem once and for all. A natural remedy for acne is just as effective as medication.
Here are a few natural remedies to cure your acne. To start with, your daily consumption of water should be minimum of eight to ten glasses. This helps you to detoxify your system and kill harmful bacteria that cause acne. Too much of oily food also leads to acne, so fried and spicy food should be strictly avoided. Including chromium in your diet also helps to cure acne. There should be a combination of correct nutritional balance and proper skin care. A mixture of nutmeg powder with unboiled milk when applied on the affected area regularly also helps cure acne. Cinnamon powder mixes with honey is equally effective in curing acne. Boiled neem leaves when applied on acne acts as a disinfectant. The infected area should be washed with anti acne soap at least three to four times a day. Makeup should be strictly avoided when one is suffering from acne. Makeup makes the acne conditions worse. Acne should never be squeezed, as it may spread and become worse. Squeezing your acne may also lead to permanent marks on your skin, which leaves your skin, looking ugly. Avoid your hair to fall on the acne-affected area. Hair should be kept tied to avoid contact with acne. Pillow covers should be washed on daily basis to avoid the germ to spread. Regular cleansing of your skin should be done to keep it free from germs. Apart from all these, a healthy lifestyle should be followed, with proper balance of food, exercise and sleep.
Remember if you take proper care of yourself, no ailments can trouble you, especially such as a small thing as acne!

Caring for Acne Skin
There are few things that we think about as much as we think about our faces. Our hair may come in a close second, but most of us are concerned with how we look when we are meeting people and talking with them face to face. It's not really all about vanity either, it's just a matter of looking nice and feeling presentable. It doesn't matter who you are, your looks and how you feel about them are going to affect your everyday life. If you have problems with acne, this is going to be on your mind most of the time. This is when finding great acne skin care is something that might help take your mind off your face and on to more important issues.
When thinking of acne skin care, some may tell you to watch your diet. While you may think that grease, fatty foods, and chocolate contribute to your acne problems, you can stop worrying so much. Those things have nothing to do with it and are in no way attached to any acne problem that you may have. The real culprit can be and is probably your hormones, and there really isn't much that you can do about that. This means that acne skin care must be about lotions and potions for your face, but you don't really have to think about your diet in regards to this condition.
There are some rather inexpensive acne skin care things that will work for you, but you do have to be diligent in their use. You can use any number of skin care products on the market that are meant to clean the skin. Though having clean skin will not take care of all of the problems, it can lead to less acne in the long run. Clean your face at least twice a day, and use a lotion that promises it does not add to acne woes. The moisturizer is essential because the cleaners will dry out your skin and that can lead to other problems.

Acne Scar Removal
Some common afflictions are as old as mankind. One of the more notorious of these dilemmas is known as acne. You may also know this skin problem as pimples, blemishes, whiteheads, blackheads and zits. Whatever the name you're used to, the reaction still remains the same. You're disgusted by acne. Hey, join the club. We call ourselves human beings. Needless to say, none of us want to grapple with this burden if we don't have to. Well, whether you're in the stage of battling off daily acne outbreaks, or are past the eruptions and now are dealing with the aftermath, there are solutions to consider. Anything from acne prevention to acne scar removal is totally feasible in this day and age. Get ready to deal with your complexion the right way.
If you rewind a couple of decades, you'll notice that there wasn't much available in regards to acne scar removal. Sure, teenagers and adults alike were dealing with the horrific pangs of acne pimples, but those who were more mature, and simply burdened by the aftermath of zits, could only cover-up their acne scars. This is no longer the case. Welcome to a bright future where smooth, clear complexions are possible, even if you had severe acne at one point in your life. Some of the more recommended and popular treatments for acne scar removal are chemical peels, Microderm abrasion and laser treatments. One thing you should realize right off the bat with chemical peels is that they rapidly exfoliate several layers of skin, hence making your face sensitive for a few days afterwards. This means you'll need to avoid sun exposure and harsh treatments such as scrubs. Most individuals who are treated with a chemical peel are a bit red for several days. Microderm abrasion is one of the best treatments for acne scar removal currently available. This is a gentle way to remove dead surface skin to reveal the young and youthful glow beneath.
For those seeking the most advanced acne scar removal procedure on the market, you'll want to think about laser scar removal. This new-age process involves literally burning away dead layers of epidermis, and allowing a smoother complexion to be revealed. Naturally all of these acne scar removal treatments can only be accomplished with the assistance of a professional. Contact a local spa or dermatologist to get your youthful glow back.
Curing Acne With The Master Cleanse
A simple search on the Internet is going to turn up hundreds of different ways to cure your acne. These methods range anywhere from relatively normal to the extreme. The simple fact of the matter is, acne seems to be more of an outward sign that something is wrong within your body rather than being a disease in and of itself. That is why many naturalists will tell you that in order to get rid of your acne, you need to treat it below the surface. This would include cleansing your body in some way or another.
Our bodies have an amazing ability to remove the toxins that we take in on a regular basis. Unfortunately, most of us tend to take these toxins in to such a degree that our bodies are overwhelmed by them. Whenever this happens, these toxins are stored in our liver, colon and other organs within our body. One sure way to be able to remove these toxins from our body is to give our body a break and allow it to do the work that it was meant to do. The easiest way for you to be able to do this is to go on the master cleanse.
The master cleanse is relatively easy to understand but you should make sure that you study up on it before you decide to take it on. At its most basic level, it is simply a diet where you drink water with two tablespoons of lemon and two tablespoons of organic maple syrup. You should also add some cayenne pepper in order to help with the cleansing process. Every morning, you will need to take a saltwater flush to get things moving and in the evening, you should drink some laxative tea.
The master cleanse is something that will make you feel a lot better overall and will do much more for you than simply clearing up your skin. As a matter of fact, some people enjoy the way that they feel from the master cleanse so much that they end up doing it several times per year. If you really want a way to be able to clear up your acne in a hurry, however, this cleanse is certainly the way to go. Just make sure that you are prepared ahead of time and you will see that it is not that difficult to do.
An Acne Pill?
When it comes to acne, zits, pimples and blemishes, A primary concern is what goes on inside. This is often overlooked by many acne sufferers. We commonly become so consumed with how to treat the exterior of our bodies that we forget about what we're putting in them. It's time to stop this. If you didn't already know it, the internal treatment of acne is crucial as well. So, am I saying never to eat another chocolate bar? No, of course not. Chocolate in particular has no proven effect on our skin. Unless maybe you're allergic to it. What I'm proposing is a well-balanced diet and maybe a daily acne pill.
Accutane is probably the most popular acne pill currently on the market. Acne sufferers around the globe are snagging this medication off the Internet. Yes indeed, it doesn't always take a prescription to get the job done. In fact, there are plenty of pimple remedies floating around these days. Now, before you get all excited and just start purchasing, I recommend some recon work first. Find out which acne treatments are rated best, and which ones have acquired poor reviews from past customers. Also, you can't simply purchase a kit and an acne pill to use them together. Maybe certain ingredients don't mix. Or maybe the combination of two strong products will have a harsh effect on your complexion, such as irritation or over-drying. If you are interested in a product as Accutane, I suggest you evaluate your topical medications first. There's no doubt that an acne pill is convenient, but is it right for you?
Consulting your family doctor or a skin professional is always a prudent route. He/she can offer valid advice regarding a new-age acne pill. Maybe they will warn you against certain products or possibly encourage an all-natural alternative. This is quite the rage/trend now days. Everyone is searching for the all-natural acne pill, cancer treatment, or health supplement. We're tired of all the chemicals that alter our body. So, if your acne is out of hand and you're looking for that extra edge, welcome to the world of the acne pill. Just be wary of what you take on a daily basis.

Adolescent Acne
Acne is one of the most common problems in adolescent teens affecting nearly seventeen million people in the United States. Acne is nothing but a disorder involving sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Acne results from the clogging of sebaceous glands leading to the formation of pimples and cysts. The condition usually begins with the onset of puberty. Going by the facts, as teens attain puberty, the androgens, also called male sex hormones are produced in high number, leading to sebaceous glands becoming overactive, which results in sebum being produced in high proportions.
Sebum, which is nothing but oil is produced by sebaceous glands which travel to the skin surface through hair follicles. But, skin cells block the follicles which results in oil also being blocked. When these hair follicles are blocked, it results in the development of skin bacteria known as Propionibacterium Acnes within the follicles, which in turn results in swelling of the skin called acne. If the hair follicles are partially blocked it results in blackheads. If the follicles are completely blocked they result in whiteheads. But if these plugged follicles are not treated they ultimately burst causing the oil, bacteria and skin cells to spill all over the skin resulting in irritation and formation of pimples. Acne can be shallow as well as deep in various individuals depending on the nature of skin and amount of oil produced.
There can be various causes why acne forms. Apart from rising hormone levels due to puberty, it can also be attributed to certain other factors, like intake of drugs which contain lithium, barbiturates and corticosteroids. Acne can also be caused due to excess grease and oil in the scalp, due to cooking oil and use of some cosmetics can actually alleviate the acne problem. Acne problem many times is inherited also. Acne problem is worsened if the pimples are squeezed or scrubbed too hard.
Acne can form at any place of the body but they most commonly form in the areas where there sebaceous glands are present in high proportions like face, chest, shoulders, neck and upper back. The symptoms may differ from person to person, but commonly seen symptoms are: formation of blackheads, whiteheads, lesions filled with pus, which are very painful, and lastly nodules. One may get confused sometimes as symptoms of acne may be like some other skin condition and it is always advised to consult a doctor in this scenario.

"Proactive" Acne Skin Care
Acne is defined as a diseased condition of the skin that involves the hair and oil glands. It is characterized by pimples, black/white heads, reddishness and cysts. Face acne can spoil your appearance to a great extent and body acne can really ruin your day by making you very uncomfortable. Considering acne as a minor problem, some people tend to totally discard the topic of "Acne skin care". However, the importance of "Acne skin care" cannot be undermined in any way.
Acne skin care should really start much before the acne actually appears. "Acne skin care" is more about being proactive than reactive. Acne skin care is about being aware of preventive measures. Acne skin care is - following daily skin care routines with complete discipline. So let's have a look at how "acne skin care" can be applied to our daily routine.
"Acne skin care" starts with the most basic thing - cleanliness. So morning showers are the most basic way of keeping the skin clean. In fact, a lot of people take night showers too (that not only helps in keeping your skin clean but also provides relaxation to your body and enables a good sleep). If you are living in a hot and/or humid place, a night shower becomes a must. In fact, a shower is recommended after any activity that causes high levels of sweat to develop. It's a very effective "acne skin care" technique.
However, acne skin care is not about just showers. Acne skin care is also about wearing clean clothes and sleeping on clean pillows. Moreover, too tight clothes can cause sweat to accumulate quickly; so soft and comfortable cotton clothes are recommended, especially if you already have acne. In the same sense, "proactive acne skin care" also advocates regular cleaning of your make-up brush and any equipment that you use on your body.
Besides that, you should also use a mild, water-soluble, oil-free and soap-free cleanser for keeping your face, neck and arms clean. Cleansing is the most important part of any acne skin care routine. Cleaners are the easiest and the most effective way of removing dirt, grease, pollutants and excess oil from your skin; thus reducing the probability of acne occurrence. Acne skin care also recommends removing your make up using a make up remover, and this should happen before you go to bed (not in the morning).
If you already have acne, do not try to touch them or squeeze them; it can lead to permanent scars. "Proactive Acne Skin Care" advocates gentle cleansing and cleaning of the affected area using an over-the-counter medication and a clean/soft cotton pad. There are various acne skin care creams and lotions available over-the-counter (a lot of these acne skin care products are actually cleansers). However, if these "acne skin care" measures don't give you the desired results, contact a dermatologist for "acne skin care" advice and treatment.

Ways to Control Acne
ZAP that zit!
Hey, remember all those crazy commercials back in the day that told us their products would do the unheard of? Yeah, we've all seen them! The acne remedy ads were my all-time favorites. They must have gotten so many pimple-afflicted teenagers stoked about obliterating their skin condition. Only too soon discover that the zit miracle creams were bogus. Have you ever really encountered a Clearasil or Oxy product that eliminated blemishes on contact? The best commercial was the one with the teenage boy in his bedroom. He glanced in that mirror one morning and noticed several whoppers on his face. No fear; Oxy 10 is here. You simply squeeze out a bit on your fingertip and start dropping atomic bombs on those irksome pimples. With a cool sound effect, they disappear like that. Ha, yeah right! To really fight and control acne in the real world, it takes a tad more effort and time.
I would be fairly safe saying that acne is amongst the most hated skin afflictions. It's certainly one of the most prominent ones, if not the most. Once you hit those puberty years, all bets are off. The odds are not in your favor. Therefore you'd better be prepared for some all-out zit wars. Blame the teenage hormones! Anyway, there are effective ways to control acne. All you need is the right input. I can't emphasize enough how important your diet is. If you consume junk food regularly, it's time to stop. It takes a toll on the pores since it's excreted through them. Plus, loads of fat and sugar are terrible for your health. Get started with a healthy and well-balanced diet while you're still young. I guarantee you'll be glad you did later down the road. You can also control acne with the right skin care system. These usually consist of a few different products. A cleanser is mandatory. Find one that gentle cleanses your skin, so that you will be less prone to an over-dried complexion. You'll also require a topical medication of some sort. There are infinite acne remedies currently available, but that doesn't mean they're all good. Check into Proactive Solution or a prescription for Differin from your family doctor. These two have a great track record.
There are always little things you can do for your skin and help control acne. One of them is drink lots and lots of water; another is getting plenty of sleep. Moreover, you can even take tepid showers to avoid over-drying your skin. Every bit helps.

Cleansing Your Body With Raw Food To Cure Acne
A lot of people that have to deal with acne realize that many of the problems that they experience with their skin are directly related to anything that they eat. Eating things that are too acidic or that contain too much sugar can actually cause us to break out even worse than normal. Along with that, it is also necessary for us to cleanse our body in certain ways in order to get rid of the acne altogether. I'm not talking about washing our skin, something that many of us do religiously in an attempt to clear up the problem, I'm talking about cleansing ourselves internally.
Actually, eating properly and cleansing our body go hand-in-hand, more than you might realize. When most of us think about internal cleanses, we consider fasting and other harsh methods that are difficult to stick to but generally have great results. Actually, if you are able to eat raw fruit and vegetables on a daily basis, you're going to be cleansing your body just the same as if you are fasting. Although the results will not be as dramatic, getting back to the basics in the way that we eat and making sure that we are getting plenty of raw food in our diet is going to go a long way in helping us with our skin.
One of the reasons why it is preferable to cleanse with raw food than with a more radical method is because we are going to detox more slowly. If we have a problem with acne, that is a sign that we have toxins built up on the inside of our body. The last thing that we would want to do is to release those toxins to quickly through an internal cleanse. By eating raw foods, we will be cleansing our body but we will be doing so more slowly. This will allow us to get rid of the toxins without having the negative side effects of cleansing which includes additional problems with our skin.
Of course, after you are able to cleanse yourself with raw foods for some time you may want to also consider doing one of the other cleanses that are available. It is important for you to build your way up to it, however, and to make sure that your body is ready before you do anything that may be considered harsh.

Cleansing Your Body To Cure Your Acne
Whether you realize they're not, acne may not be a disease in itself. The simple fact of the matter is, doctors are unaware of what really causes acne although they have some theories that they tend to believe. Naturalists tend to think that acne is more of a symptom that something is wrong rather than a disease in and of itself. Therefore, it is often possible for you to clear up your acne or any other skin problems that you may be having by cleansing your body.
There's no doubt that we ingest a lot of toxins on a daily basis due to the things that we heat and the things that we drink. Even the air that we breathe contains a lot of toxins and it is difficult for our body to clean them all whenever it is constantly bombarded by these things. They tend to store up in places such as our liver and our colon which can cause a variety of different problems within our body. That is why it is important to cleanse ourselves on a regular basis in order to remove these toxins from our body and to possibly get rid of problems, such as acne.
Although it is possible for you to target specific organs, such as your liver, it is also a good idea to go through a full body cleanse on a regular basis. One of the most popular of these cleanses that tends to work well with acne is the master cleanse. Although there is a lot of information available about this on the Internet, the basic way that you do it is to drink pure water which contains two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, two tablespoons of pure, organic maple syrup and some cayenne pepper. You will also need to do a saltwater flush on a daily basis in order to clear your colon as you will not be taking in any fiber.
One thing that you should be aware of if you plan on doing the Master cleanse is that things may get worse before they get better. The effect of your body detoxifying may show up in the form of problem skin but if you are able to stick with the cleanse for long enough, your skin will eventually clear as the toxins are removed from your body. Of course, you will notice other things happening as well but the acne is certainly something that is worth cleansing for.

Acne Remedies: Available Acne Treatments
Acne is a menace. However, it's not something that cannot be tackled.
There are loads of acne skin care products around. We can classify acne skin care products into 3 broad categories:
- 1) Preventive or general acne skin care products
- 2) Over-the-counter, specialized acne skin care products
- 3) On-prescription acne skin care products
The general acne skin care products are the ones that are used as acne-prevention measure. These include cleansers, make-up removers and similar products that help prevent acne. In the real sense, these acne skin care products are just those that should anyway be part of your daily routine. However, some of these are more oriented to act like an acne skin care product. These acne skin care products act against the causes of acne e.g. limiting the production of sebum/oil and preventing clogging of skin pores. Basically, these acne skin care products prevent the oil from getting trapped in pores and hence hamper the growth of bacteria that lead to acne. The general acne skin care products also include exfoliation products like skin peels. These work towards removing dead skin cells, hence reducing the possibility of pore-clogging and bacteria development.
Then there are specialized acne skin care products that are available over-the-counter i.e. without the need of a prescription. These include products like vanishing creams which extract the extra oil from the skin. Most of these acne skin care products are based on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are the enemies of bacteria (and hence acne). You should start with a product that has lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (e.g. 5%) and see how your skin responds to it. Alpha-hydroxy-acid based moisturizers are also popular as acne skin care products. You might have to try a few, before you zero in on the acne skin care product that is effective for you. If nothing seems to work, you should contact a dermatologist.
On-prescription acne skin care products are the ones that are prescribed by a dermatologist. This can include ointments that can be applied on the affected area or oral antibiotics or just any topical treatment. Dermatologist could also suggest a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of pustules. However, never try to squeeze or do this by yourself, it can lead to permanent damage of your skin. Your doctor could also prescribe a hormone-based treatment (since hormonal changes are also known to cause acne). Such acne skin care products are known to be very effective in some cases. So, with all those acne skin care products, tackling acne is not that difficult.

Acne Solutions: 3 Things You Should Do Every Day When You Have Acne
All of us that have to deal with acne on a regular basis are probably looking for natural ways in order to handle the situation.
The simple fact of the matter is, we did not come in to the point where we have acne overnight and we cannot expect for it to disappear overnight either. A buildup of toxins in our body is often at the very core of our acne problem and in order to cure the problem totally, we're going to need to remove some of these toxins from our body. Even without getting too radical with our treatment, there are three specific things that you should make sure you're doing on a daily basis in order to effectively deal with your problem.
First of all, you should make sure that you are getting plenty of rest. This is something that a lot of us have a difficult time doing, either because we have a problem sleeping at night or because our lives are so busy that rest is just not an option. If you really want to deal with your acne problem and face it head on, you need to make time to rest and not make any excuses. Most of us need seven to eight hours of sleep every night and we need to take time for ourselves in order to relax or else we are never going to be able to get rid of our skin problems.
The next thing that you should be doing is to eat a balanced diet. ( Read more about "Clear Skin Diet"...see below! ) This is something that is very difficult for many of us to do, particularly considering the fact that we have a lifestyle that is not conducive to eating well. If you want to get rid of the problem skin that you are dealing with, however, you need to skip the fast food and sugary snacks and eat some raw fruits and vegetables instead. Try it for a week, you would be surprised with how much you begin to enjoy a daily salad or a bowl of fruit.
Finally, you need to make sure that you are getting plenty of water to drink. Acne is often a result of dehydration so make sure that you are drinking plenty of pure water on a daily basis and skip the sodas and sports drinks. Do this for a week, your skin will be noticeably clearer.

Birth Control Pills, A Cure For Acne?
At first, taking birth control pills to cure the problematic acne is totally a ludicrous idea. It turns out that the idea is not as far fetched as we thought at first. Birth control pills, depending on the situation, can help teenage girls handle a terrible acne problem.
For teenage girls, or even older women, acne problems can be a source of embarrassment. There are several remedies for acne. Doctors, of course, can help determine what kind of medication is necessary and appropriate for each individual in order to solve their acne problems. Medications can range from acne creams to antibiotic, and to the occasional birth control pills.
Birth control pills seem to work on teenage girls since the pills contain synthetic hormones that help balance the already fluctuating hormones inside their body brought about by puberty. These hormonal fluctuations are seen as one of the causes of acne problems. Doctors have prescribed the use of birth control pills to control acne for years. Although, the pills are not labeled to be of such use, the effectiveness of them to some people is notable. Fortunately, the FDA has begun approving the use of some birth control pills as alternative medications to treat acne.
Even though FDA has already approved the use of oral contraceptives for acne treatments, doctors often prescribe their use only after several medications and treatments were tried and were found to be ineffective. It is also common that oral contraceptives are used alongside other conventional acne medications. This method has been proven to be more effective than using it alone.
All birth control pills contain synthetically produced progestin and estrogen hormones. These two are responsible for preventing the ovulation of eggs in the woman's ovary. Oral contraceptives reduce the production of testosterone in the female body. When the production of testosterone is reduced, the amount of oil produced by the skin is also reduced. Consequently, the skin has a lower chance of experiencing pore blockage due to the decrease of the oil being produced.
Some oral contraceptives, meanwhile, contain progesterone that helped reduce the androgen hormones in the body. By doing this, the breakout activity of acne can be reduced.
However, some brands of oral contraceptives actually increases the levels of testosterone in the body and instead of preventing acne, it can result to a possible major outbreak. This is why it is important to consult your doctor before taking matters into your own hands. There's only so much you can read from the labels of the drugs and read in the internet. Professional opinion is still a valued one and should be asked for every time situations like this arise.
It is common for doctors to prescribe a daily dosage of birth control pills for a period of three weeks. Afterwards, you will have to take placebo pills to induce the normal menstruation cycle. Don't be too impatient and begin taking more pills that what was prescribed. It is normal to see any noticeable effects only after the third month that you began taking the pills.
The use of birth control pills as a cure of acne is not without side effects. The most common side effect includes weight gain, nausea, mood swings, breast tenderness, and menstrual spotting. There are situations where the side effects are very serious.
Stroke, headaches, gallstones, increase blood pressure, blood clots, and even depression, are some of the observed serious effects of using oral contraceptives for acne control, although, these effects are very uncommon.

Natural Remedies For Acne
Acne is a skin condition that millions of individuals deal with, sometimes on a daily basis. Although acne is not a life threatening condition, it can cause great stress. Acne, especially when constantly touched or picked at, can also lead to scaring or even an infection. For that reason, those suffering from acne often look for different ways to seek relief.
When it comes to seeking relief from acne, there are a large number of over-the-counter products that claim to provide relief. In addition to simply just appearing on store shelves, a large number of over-the-counter acne medications are also appearing on our television screens and with famous celebrities standing behind the products. Of course, if you are suffering from acne you can give these over-the-counter products a try, but it is also important to know that you do have a number of different options. These options involve the use of natural remedies and home remedies, which are a safer way to treat acne, as they do not rely on the use of potentially dangerous chemicals.
There are a number of natural remedies for acne that rely on the use of food. One of those remedies is that of lettuce. Saturating lettuce in water for about an hours worth of time will result in a special mixture. This mixture should then be applied to the skin, acting as a rinse. This approach is a nice and easy way to get rid of unwanted acne.
Fresh lime juice and milk are another natural remedy for getting rid of acne that comes highly rated and recommend. With this natural remedy for acne, boil a half of glass of milk. Once that milk has cooled, add in about the same amount of lime juice. You can then use a cloth to apply the mixture onto your acne infected area. As an important reminder, wait until the boiled milk has cooled to an ideal level to promote comfort and prevent burns.
For a small area of acne, ripe tomatoes can be used. For this home remedy, cut a ripe tomato in half and place the inside, wet portion of the tomato on the pimple or pimples. Leave it on for about an hours worth of time and then wash off. A similar approach to this natural remedy and one that still comes highly rated and recommended involves the use of tomato paste.
As previously stated, those suffering from severe acne put themselves at risk for developing an infection or scaring. Those who are known to touch or pick at their pimples are first advised to stop. That is the best way to keep your skin healthy. With that being said, Aloe Vera can also provide relief. When applied to the affected area, Aloe Vera can help to promote healthy healing on the skin.
As outlined above, there are a number of different natural remedies and home remedies for those suffering from acne, like you. As for why these natural remedies are advised, there are a number of different reasons. If you have ever tried over-the-counter skincare products before, you likely already know that they can be costly. Imagine that cost added up overtime. It is also important to note that many over-the-counter acne treatment products have poor reviews. In fact, did you know that some products actually cause users more problems with rashes and acne than before? That is why many are now starting to rely on natural remedies instead, as they are affordable, easy to implement, and safe.

All of us have to deal with something at some point in our life that we would rather not have to deal with it all. A good example of this is acne. You would be surprised with the number of individuals who have a problem with their skin that lasts long beyond their teenage years. The simple fact that they have a problem with acne during puberty is enough, but when it lasts for a lifetime, it can be one of the more frustrating problems that we have to put up with.
Although many people think that acne comes as a result of oily skin or perhaps problems with hormones, it may actually be a result of our body trying to tell us that something is wrong. Instead of being a disease, consider the possibility that it might be a symptom of the disease or another problem that we are dealing with. In order to get rid of the acne, it may be necessary for us to bring our body back into balance and to cure it from the inside out. This can be done by means of supplementation and here are 2 different supplements that you should be taking if you have a problem with acne.
Vitamin C is something that everybody should take, regardless of whether they have acne or not. It is one of the strongest antioxidants that occurs naturally and will help to remove the free radicals from our body that are damaging our cells. This is one step in making sure that we have clear skin and many people have recognized a difference, simply by supplementing their diet with vitamin C.
Something else that you should be having on a regular basis is green tea. This excellent substance has been used in the Orient for thousands of years because of its healing properties. It is also a very strong antioxidant but may contain other things that help to clean our body on the inside which will go a long way in helping it to be clean on the outside. You can either take this in the form of a pill or drink tea throughout the day.
Along with these supplements, you should make sure that you are eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water and getting adequate sleep. All of these will help to bring your body back into the balance where it can get rid of the acne naturally.
